This is a short article that's to the point and will give you a
couple ways to handle pressure in sports or like a champ
and succeed.
Try to relate this article to what ever you do in life.Whether its
sports or business.
Don't let other people Make You Think You Can't Do it:
We all make mistakes and end up thinking we can't succeed as athletes or in biz.We don't trust ourselves to be able to get over failure, and we let other people dictate mentally that we'll never do it.
Forget that shit!!
You love what you do and you're going to fail and make mistakes to some degree.Don't let friends, family or the public make you think you're no good and you can't do it.
Others will always be better than you at your craft.Big deal, just do it and get over it.Baseball's top hitters are successful 30 to 40 percent of the time.
That means they are unsuccessful 60 percent,or the majority of the time. This also means you are in the public eye when you fail 60 percent of the time as well.
Most people in sports or in business can't handle it and they give up.Don't be that person who gives up.Focus on the success not the failures.
Tiger Woods lost a recent golf tournament and he keeps working at his game.I know you'll say,but he's Tiger Woods and he has natural talent that's way above everyone else.
That may well be to some degree. But,he works like a bastard at it.Then you'll say he has all kinds of money and works at his game more than others.
Tiger does it because he knows there are limitations to his game. He's not the best, but he works like a dog at his game despite the huge cake he makes.
In sports or business you have to accept there will always be mistakes.Deal with them and treat it as something to work on.Don't avoid it or just go through the motions. Then you'll end up quitting.
You don't have to be the best.If you work at your game or business daily, you'll be more confident when you make mistakes. Then get back to work.
Dealing with Stress in Sports:
Being able to deal with public mistakes will make you stronger as well.Whether its personal or in your business or sports life, if you don't deal with it,your mind won't be on your game and you'll make mistakes that can be avoided if you deal head on with shit.
I'm not religious or spiritual people.Far from it.Got a beer?
You should do your best work when you make mistakes and are fearful. It sounds stupid, but admitting you make mistakes can empower you.
Take golfers who don't win many tournaments. They fail most of the time but keep playing and practicing despite the failures. Most athletes or people in business who fail or don't take enough action will fail and never make the big cake!
Don't let that be you.
